The role:

We are looking for a Managed Legal Services Supervisor to oversee a busy team who provide administrative support to help our legal teams in the delivery of an excellent services to our clients.  

Your key duties will be:

  • Supervising a group of Managed Legal Services Handlers and mentoring / coaching for performance
  • Providing support for queries raised
  • Providing assistance with technical queries
  • Carrying out the work undertaken by the Managed Legal Services team; overseeing all work for business areas supported by the Managed Legal Services team including Uninsured Loss Recovery, Debt, Costs, Defendant Insurance and Social Housing 
  • Signing in and actioning Managed Legal Services post and processing Uninsured Loss Recovery post onto I-Manage 
  • Maintaining data on Excel spreadsheets
  • Supervising new claims distribution and auditing of files
  • Conducting new starter training and refresher training for all relevant areas
  • Assisting the Team Manager to achieve targets set for the Managed Legal Services team 
  • Driving and supporting the Managed Legal Services team 
  • Assisting the Team Manager in the timely distribution of accurate reports to the MLS group and Corclaim Board

What you’ll need:

  • Confidence with IT systems to include Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Previous experience in a supervisory role is advantageous, ideally gained from within a legal or professional services background
  • The ability to work well in a team and develop good working relationships with colleagues and others
  • Good communication skills with the confidence to liaise openly and clearly with colleagues and clients
  • The ability to produce a high standard of work, sometimes under pressure, whilst maintaining accuracy and good attention to detail
  • To be able to demonstrate flexibility, initiative and confidence in your own ability
  • A pro-active approach in dealing with enquiries
  • Self motivation with a desire to succeed
  • To be a positive role model
  • An organised and methodical approach to work

Our Litigation Services & Dispute Resolution group has a long-standing experience of working with some of the most successful and influential businesses in the UK and also internationally. Our specialist teams combine expertise with a sound understanding of the commercial landscape to provide exceptional solutions for every aspect of our clients’ corporate requirements.

This role is based within the Managed Legal Services (MLS) Volume Team in Birmingham. The team support business clients who instruct our volume teams in respect of recovering uninsured losses, debts and costs owing to their businesses.
