Supervisor – Debt and Asset Recovery Team – Birmingham/Stratford Upon Avon

We’ve got talented teams of people looking for you! It’s a varied and busy workload involving plenty of client liaison so you will need to enjoy juggling a busy day!

Your key duties will be:

  • Having responsibility for the day to day management of your client team
  • Prioritising and coordinating team duties to ensure completion in line with client SLAs
  • Managing cases throughout the entire legal process, in line with client requirements.
  • Supporting the wider team with calls when required
  • Attending client meetings
  • Managing service delivery
  • Process management and reviews
  • Reporting and invoicing
  • Meeting team financial targets
  • Call and file audits of your team

The hours:

As a department we are committed to providing a service to our clients between the hours of 8am to 8pm on Monday to Thursday, 8am to 6pm on a Friday and 9am to 1pm on a Saturday. 

This Supervisor role will involve working the following hours:

  • 9:00am - 5.30pm Monday – Thursday
  • 9:00am - 5.00pm on Friday

There will additional availability to provide telephone/remote support to the team within the department hours on rotation.

Also it may involve supervising the Saturday shift of 9:00am -1:00pm on rotation.

What you’ll need:

Skills and experience you will have:

  •  Leadership and people skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Competency with IT systems - to manage a volume caseload through highly automated processes.
  • Debt and/or asset recovery experience
  • Excellent  time and diary management
  • Experience with meeting court deadlines
  • Working to FCA guidelines/standards and ensuring team compliance

Key competencies you will need:

  • Good communication skills with the confidence to liaise openly and clearly with colleagues and clients
  • The ability to produce a high standard of work,  under pressure, whilst maintaining accuracy and good attention to detail
  • To be able to demonstrate flexibility, initiative and confidence in your own ability
  • Commercial business awareness
  • Ability to drive efficiencies

How we work:

We embrace hybrid working and offer a blended approach to where and how we work. We encourage the team to come in as much as possible but a minimum of 2/3 days a week for business needs.

We have hubs in Birmingham, Bristol, Edinburgh, Leicester, Lincoln, London, Milton Keynes, Nottingham, Solihull, Stratford-upon-Avon and Sheffield. and this role will involve working out of our Birmingham and Stratford offices where the team is based.
