The Litigation and Restructuring team has a long-standing experience of working with an enviable selection of insolvency practitioners, lenders and corporates. We are regularly instructed by the “big 4” accountants as well as the mid-tier and smaller players. Our specialist national team combine all round expertise with a sound understanding of the commercial landscape to provide exceptional solutions for every aspect of our clients’ requirements. The team is recognised in Both Chambers and Legal 500.

We provide advice on all aspects of insolvency work to insolvency practitioners, lenders, corporates and directors. We exploit our sector expertise within the firm including, in particular, banking and financial services, education and energy to ensure that real value is added to assignments undertaken by the team.

We currently have a new and exciting opportunity for a 2 - 4 yr PQE Insolvency/Commercial Litigation Solicitor to join our well established team to be based from any of our midlands or our Milton Keynes hub.

The role:

Working alongside a highly experienced Partner and team of Senior Lawyers, you will provide assistance on a broad range of insolvency and litigation work.  You will act for insolvency practitioners, lenders, corporates and directors to provide fast, pragmatic and commercial advice. 

What you’ll need:

  • previous commercial litigation experience
  • an interest in insolvency law and/or previous insolvency law experience, in particular contentious insolvency
  • drafting skills such as letters before claim, detailed letters of advice to clients, pleadings and briefs to counsel
  • confidence in finding practical and innovative solutions to a range of problems
  • a high degree of legal analytical skills
  • a proven track record of business development
